Casa da Musica provides a versatile and modern venue space for science, business, commercial, cultural and social events in the business center of Porto.
The modern building was build in 2001 and the goal was the modernisation and internationalisation of Porto. Remco Koolhaas was the architect awarded the assignment and the former tram station of Porto made way for the innovative Casa da Musica.
The venue lends itself for medium to large events with capacity in 3 event spaces, accompanied by a VIP room, rehearsal rooms, 2 bars and a restaurant.
Sala Suggia
The heart of Casa da Musica is the sala Suggia spread over two floor with the main floor of 1148m2 and space for 1000 seated guests
Sala 2
Sala 2 is situated on he 5th floor and has an area of 320m2. It is suitable for 280 seats
East and West Foyer
Located at either end of Sala Suggia on the 4 th floor, the foyers look out onto the city through high undulated glass walls, offering a view which makes them particularly attractive for presentations, exhibitions, cocktails and medium-sized dinners.
