Casa das Pipas, Douro wine hotel is one of the most amazing places we found in the Douro region. Casa das Pipas is a hotel situated in the famous wine producing quinta, Quinta do Portal. The quinta produces Port wines, Douro wines and Moscatel and has won many prizes and distinction for it´s wines. Staying at the Quinta is a magical experience based on the history and beauty of the building, the magnificent Douro valley views, the experience of the Silver medal winning restaurant and above all the winery and vineyards at a stone throw away.
At Casa das Pipas there are 12 rooms facing South, a large outdoor swimming pool, a children swimming pool, panoramic living room, fitness room and wine library. All in a cozy environment in order to allow you to have a unique experience.
At the casa do lagar , which is built in an old olive oil pressing mill, there are 4 rooms available of which two are family rooms containing four beds.
All the rooms are unique and themed around the wine and the vineyards. Comfort, luxury and relaxation are the main character of this wonderful hotel.
The Quinta has many wine activities available, like wine tasting but also the possibility of taking part in the harvest of the grapes during the harvesting season.
Walking through the vines while taking in the magnificent Douro landscapes can be a relaxing and inspiring experience at any time of the year!
