A peaceful haven in the busy and bustling Monte Estoril
Born in 1899 in Goa, India, Dr. Roberto de Faria obtained his medical degree in Edinburgh, Scotland in the late 1920s; he came to Lisbon where he married Marieta dos Remedios.
The house has been in the Faria family since 1939. It was rebuilt in 1954 and named “Shantiniketan”. The family renovated and converted it into a Bed & Breakfast, now known as Casa Shantiniketan.
We offer an informal, family and relaxing atmosphere – a home away from home! A peaceful haven in Monte Estoril with seven cosy rooms, away from the hustle and bustle of city life and close to the Estoril Beach and the train station to Lisbon and Cascais.
