Isla Bonita Lake Beach

FavoriteLoadingAdd to planner! ❤ Go to trip planner!

The Castelo do Bode lake beach at Vila Nova, Isla Bonita, Tomar Is one of the longer beaches on this part of the Castelo do Bode lake.
The beach has stony, sandy and grass parts and many pine trees. The water is shallow for quite a bit making it the perfect place for families with small children but people without children also frequent the beach. It has a lot of shady and private areas and a large open beach.
Plenty of parking space. Good access just a short part of the road down is unpaved but save.

There are no signs directing you to the beach!
The beach is quiet, even during the busier summer months.

The name Isla Bonita possibly comes from the view from the island where you can see a small uninhabited island.
