On the water front in Down Town Lisbon, the Monte Mar restaurant located in a former warehouse is a truly wonderful luxury restaurant offering the best of fish and seafood available in the Portuguese capitol.
The restaurant can seat approximately 300 people and for the warmer months has a large terrace along the Tagus river, with great views over the river and its traffic.
It is in an elegant and urban-chic atmosphere that Monte Mar Lisboa was created. We brought fresh fish, shellfish and all the traditional Monte Mar Cascais cuisine to the capital.
The hake fillets with cockle rice, our signature dish, has a simple name but is very rich in flavor. Since Monte Mar Lisboa is not just a fish and seafood restaurant, if you prefer a more traditional option, choose “iscas”, a delicious and tender liver dish served in a skillet.

For a nice “dip” in the sea, we suggest 15 different dishes, which go from roasted cod to fresh grilled fish, salted or baked, never forgetting the so famous hake fillets with cockle rice.
Straight from the butcher, amongst others, we have the devil pork chop, the Monte Mar duck loin, the Portuguese “Iscas” and the steak a la créme.
For a change, we have four delicious egg dishes!
Finish in style and choose from the assortment of fruits and sweets for all tastes and last, but not least, the classic and delicious Santini ice cream.
