For groups of 5 upwards it is possible to arrange private tandem paragliding close to Porto!!
Tandem Paragliding Porto / Braga is practised in the mountains roughly 1 hour from Porto or on the beaches depending on availability, weather and wind conditions and request. Paragliding is not allowed close to Porto due to air traffic regulations but transfers to the paragliding sites are possible.
The tandem flights are organized and conducted by a fully equipped and professional paragliding school in Mirandela, which also provides paragliding courses for those who want to learn the sport.
Paragliding is an exciting sport anywhere in the world but in Northern Portugal Tandem Paragliding Porto / Braga is not only an exciting and adventurous leisure activity, you will also get to see some of the most amazing views imaginable!
Tandem Paragliding in a two-seater glider parachute?
The best way to experience your first paragliding flights is via a tandem two-seater glider accompanied by an experienced instructor.
A two-seater is a paraglider (wing) equal to the normal paraglider but with a larger area, as such, capable of supporting more weight.
The flights in two-seater are conducted by instructors qualified to fly a 2-seater glider.
This way anyone can experience in safe conditions paragliding.
What equipment should I bring?
All equipment necessary for operation of the flight are provided by the school.
For comfort (thermal) and safety, we advise you to wear hiking boots (or similar) and warm clothing that allows freedom of movement.

Paragliding for those who may have physical restrictions is possible but because the take off and landing require some physical capacity specifically of the feet and legs, there is an alternative lower jump available that is more horizontal and closer to the ground, please mention on reservation if you require this. Please take into account that paragliding requires safe weather conditions and wind strength which is never under any circumstance known until 48 hours before the event. The site for the event is also determined by these conditions!
Note* Paragliding is an activity that depends on wind and weather conditions and for this reason it is never known until 48 -24 hours before the activity if it will go ahead or not. We are no longer selling vouchers for paragliding unless you reside in Portugal or visit Portugal on a regular basis allowing you to use the vouchers. If you are only visiting for a short period you will pay only if the positive condition of the weather allowing paragliding is confirmed 24 hours prior or on the day of the event.
