Large venues in the city of Lisbon
Lisbon has become one of the most popular location for large events. With thanks to Portugal´s exemplary dealing with the Covid pandemic and Lisbon´s inspiring setting, it is a favourite spot for events of all types.
It has a large offer of 4 and 5 star hotels spread over its diverse neighbourhoods. The city has restaurants and caterers, activities and transfers suitable for any group size and an airport just 6km from the center.

The congress centre of Belém
The Lisbon congress centre is spread over 3 venues and 2 locations. Belém and Parque das Nações.
Belém is the old notable area that once was the harbour of the Portuguese explorers. The area is laden with historical buildings and monuments of which likely the most famous is the monastry of Jerónimos.
The CCl venue in Belém has 8 Auditoriums, 5 Pavilions, 33 Meeting rooms, a Restaurant and two car parks making it the ideal location for medium to large events.
Belém is a noble area with some of the top hotels that Lisbon has on offer but the capacity is not as large as other areas of Lisbon, however it has easy access to the city and to the Portuguese riviera, cascais line which has many hotels of all classes close to its beaches.

the CCL venues in Parque das Nações
Parque das Nações is a relatively recent area build specifically for the Expo ’98 (1998 Lisbon World Exposition). Themed around the Portuguese discoveries and the sea, the park is a modern area filled with references to this historically important period and as an ode to the former colonies.
Its location is 6km from the center of Lisbon and 1km from the Lisbon airport, its many hotels and large venues have made it a favourite area for large meeting and conventions of which Websummit is likely the most famous.
The 2 venues of the CCL are the Lisbon Exhibition and Congress Centre and the PT meeting centre.
The Lisbon Exhibition and Congress Centre has 100.000 sq m of meeting space, it is equipped with 4 Pavilions, 1 Multi-purpose Pavilion, Meeting Rooms and an underground car park. The complex also includes a Meeting center and an outdoor square for outdoor events.
The PT meeting centre is suitable for smallish large groups of up to 500 people. It is a contemporary architecture building, equipped with 3 Auditoriums, 5 Meeting Rooms, 2 exhibition foyers and an underground car park.

Culturgest
Culturgest is one of the largest of the city center venues. Located in the former head office of the bank CGD, it is a hub for art, cinema, music and theater and a much used venue for meetings and congress. Its largest auditorium has 610 seats making it a perfect place for presentations and congress. It has many rooms and foyers for meetings, breakout, casual gatherings and private events. It is located in Campo Pequena, in the business center of Lisbon not far from the airport and historical city center.

Again in the area of Belém, The Sud Lisboa hall provides a space that fits up to 750 people for medium large events. The hall has a terrace on the shore of the Tagus river.
Sud Lisboa is a reference for impressive events in a modern, stylish atmosphere.
One very big added attraction is the rooftop terrace with infinity pool that gives an amazing view over the Tagus river and surroundings.

The Cultural Centre of Belém, CCB Belém rio is a multifaceted space for cultural events which has various rooms and terraces available for events of up to 1000pax.
In the heart of Belém right next to the Torre de Belém this space is an innovative and architecturally impressive building that provides a unique location for all types of events. With luxurious catering possibilities and all the equipment necessary to create exclusive events.
Suspense, venue in the heart of Lisbon
One of our favourite venues in Lisbon is the large, historical building in the very centre of Lisbon close to the Lisbon castle named Suspense.
It has views over the city and the river.
The original building dates from 1847 and its remained true to its original design. In the eighties it was recovered and made usable for events of all types. It has 3 spaces, a foundry, a theatre and a large garden making it suitable for winter and summer events.
The building consist of 950m2 and has space for up to 800pax.
Suspenso works with various of the best caterers in Lisbon, has an inhouse DJ and all the necessary, state of the arts equipment for any event.

LX Factory, trendy Lisbon
Possibly the trendiest of venues in Lisbon, The LX factory is a contemporary industrial venue for culture, fashion, art, design and gastronomy.
This complex of buildings and outdoor spaces is located in Alcantara, the former fishing docks of Lisbon. The complex was the largest factory complex of Lisbon where wiring and cloth were produced until it fell derelict. The grounds remained abandoned for decades until in 2008 the grounds were reclaimed to be used for cultural events.
Currently the factory is a must go to place for mostly younger generations who want to get into its lively and dynamic vibe.
LX factory has large space available for conventions, meetings, congress and gala.

Convento Beato, a convent turned into a venue
Convento Beato is one of the most atmospheric venues in Lisbon set in a former convent dating from 1580. Its location is on the water front in the center of Lisbon.
The convent has recently been fully renovated and is now again receiving groups.
The largest room is the cloister room which can fit up to 1180 guests. The space is popular with corporate customers as well as weddings and private events. It is one of the older venue space in Lisbon suitable for large groups.
