Wine team building challenge, know your wine!
The Know your Wine team building challenge is a challenge based on blind wine tasting in teams. We present you with various wines from several of the 14 wine districts of Portugal accompanied by a reader with information about the districts and its specific characteristics, the challenge will be for each team to recognize the wine as being from a certain district.
This team building is based on collaboration, decision making and cooperation.
There are different challenges available including 6 wines or 8 wines. The labels of the wine are hidden during the workshop. A sommelier will explain some facts about Portuguese wines.
Examples will be giving and methods of tasting are explained.
small teams of 5 – 8 people will taste the wines in groups and determine certain aspects of it.
Some examples of the challenges are
recognize wine region by the type of wine your teams are tasting
recognize blending styles and grape varieties
recognize young and aged wines
Some tricky questions are be included for instance spot the cheap table wine
We add a cheap regional table wine amongst the high quality wines and your teams will determine which of the wines is the local supermarket wine!
All in all this is a fun and competitive team building that teaches about Portuguese wines and creates bonds and memories for your teams.
For none wine drinkers we have a cheese challenge possibility based on the same principals. Cheese from different regions of Portugal are tried and the teams will need to recognise them based on the info we provide.
