Interactive city challenges are an ideal outdoor team-building activity. Set in the heart of Portuguese city centers, these engaging experiences are fun, informative, and designed to promote collaboration. They’re accessible for all ages, adaptable to different physical abilities, and can be tailored to a wide range of interests, from history and culture to food, puzzles, and local traditions.
Team Bonding Through City Discovery
Portuguese cities share a rich, historical character shaped by centuries of diverse cultural influences. Each city tells a unique story through the marks left by those who once called it home.
A blend of modern innovation, rich traditions, historical depth, and a mild climate makes Portugal’s cities ideal for exploration. Go Discover Portugal’s city challenges offer a unique way to enhance your corporate event with engaging activities that combine cultural discovery, team interaction, and local authenticity.
Organized across Portugal for groups of 20 or more, our city challenges promote healthy competition and team collaboration. Participants explore the cities they visit while gaining insight into Portugal’s history, culture, customs, and contemporary innovations, either on foot or via arranged transport. Each challenge is fully tailored to the group’s size, interests, schedule, and chosen location.
Paper-Based & App-Based City Challenges
Whether you prefer the tactile charm of a classic treasure hunt or the flexibility of a fully digital scavenger hunt, we build the format that fits your group.
Roadbook & Map Treasure Hunts
Our classic paper-based treasure hunt uses a printed roadbook, map, and riddle cards to guide teams through the city on foot. No screens, no charging cables, no connectivity worries, just a tactile, old-school scavenger hunt experience that works everywhere, including narrow alleys and cellars where signal drops out.
This format suits groups who want a nostalgic, low-tech scavenger hunt feel, or locations where a fully digital challenge isn’t practical. It remains one of our most requested formats for classic city treasure hunt and scavenger hunt team building.
Fully Bespoke App Challenges
For groups wanting a more dynamic, scalable scavenger hunt, we design a fully bespoke app-based city challenge. GPS-guided routes, photo and video missions, live leaderboards, and real-time scoring turn the treasure hunt into an interactive digital adventure that scales smoothly from 20 to 600+ participants.
The app is built specifically for your event, branded to your company, and can combine quizzes, puzzles, and challenges spread across multiple zones at once, ideal for very large groups where a single paper-based scavenger hunt would create bottlenecks.
