“The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA) race track opened its doors on 2nd November 2008 after just seven months of construction. It was a true race against time to host the circuit’s inaugural race – the final round of the Superbike World Championship. The AIA race track was developed as part of an innovative global project to provide a comprehensive range of facilities to the most varied sectors of the motor industry.
The International Karting Algarve offers several programs geared to different types of audience are adults, children, amateurs or professionals, are motivated by living at “team building” or the preparation of official competitions.”
The autodrome is situated 20km from Portimao and 20km from Lagos at the Sítio do Escampadinho, Mexilhoeira Grande.
Go Discover Portugal has partnered to be able to offer you a real race track karting lesson + karting experience for groups of 6 onwards are you a smaller group we will try to combine you into another group. The Autodrome offers activities for all ages all within a monitored and safe environment.
There is also a possibility for team events and large group events.
The karts are adapted to the technical requirements and type of conductor. The programs offers each user a kit with gloves, helmet an adequate briefing every type of rental and the field monitoring by a team of professionals.
All activities are covered by Personal accident insurance.
