The Bairro Alto Palace is a very large, air-conditioned, 2-floor, 9-bedroom, 4-bathroom apartment in the heart of Lisbon, in the Bairro Alto area and on the edge of the prime Chiado district. It has a total of 19 separate beds, 3 sofa-beds and can accommodate up to 24 guests. With an independent kitchen, large living room and highspeed fibre Internet & wi-fi, it is a great choice for large groups or families.
The property
This is a huge property with air-conditioning that has two floors and is suitable for very large groups or families. It is located on the second and third floors of a historic building and has 9 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a living/dining room and a fully-equipped independent kitchen. It is located in central Lisbon between the Bairro Alto and Chiado districts, almost directly opposite the Trindade Church.
The first floor of the property includes the entrance hall, 4 bedrooms, the spacious living room, the kitchen, and two bathrooms. There are some stairs leading to the top floor of the apartment, which has 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms. All bedrooms and the living room are air-conditioned.
The living room has comfy chairs, a sofa, a large flatscreen TV with international cable channels and free highspeed wi-fi Internet. There are some dining tables and chairs and a small library with dozens of books in different languages. The two large windows allow in plenty of natural light and have narrow balconies overlooking the pedestrian street below.
Bedrooms
There are a total of 9 bedrooms which are all individually air-conditioned and which have the following configuration, allowing up to 24 guests to stay here comfortably:

All the bedrooms have a wardrobe or chest of drawers to store clothes, and there are writing desks to be able to work in the rooms.
There are 4 different bathrooms, two on each floor. Each one is a full bathroom with shower, WC washbasin & mirror, and one of the bathrooms has a full bathtub.
The kitchen is full-equipped with oven, cooker, microwave, two fridge-freezers, sink, cupboards and a washing machine. There are pots and pans, pans all the necessary cutlery and crockery and kitchen utensils to be able to cook and have your meals in the apartment.
There is free highspeed wi-fi in all areas and sheets & towels are provided.

Location and Surroundings
The Bairro Alto Palace apartment occupies the second and third floors (no elevator) of a historic building which in past centuries was the residence of a noble family. It is located in one of the quieter streets of the famous Bairro Alto neighbourhood, known for the variety of cafés and restaurants here.
Surroundings
This is where Lisbon’s nightlife is concentrated, since the area is made up of a grid of small, cobbled streets, criss-crossing each other and full of local bars, traditional Fado restaurants, traditional taverns and excellent restaurants. The streets are particularly lively at night, but the Bairro Alto Palace apartment is tucked away on a small street just far enough away from the action to provide a peaceful night’s sleep for the guests staying here.
District
This entire district is very central, and it is a very good base to visit the rest of the city, with easy access to the Baixa downtown area, the designer shops of Chiado, which is just down the street, a 3-minute walk away. Nearby, the São Pedro de Alcântara viewpoint and gardens provide wonderful views of Lisbon’s rooftops and across the city to the Castle and the River Tagus.
From this property, it is a quick and easy 10-minute walk to the central Rossio square, where visitors can take the train to Sintra and beyond, or the Metro to other parts of Lisbon.
