From the hand of Chef Gonçalo Queiroz and his wife Eugenia, Origens is born. An old dream, now come true.
A project familiar and totally different from the generality of the street restaurants of the Alentejo.
The Origens restaurant aims to promote essentially the products of the Alentejo region, in a careful and contemporary presentation.
Our menu is not available online as it is a seasonal menu with local ingredients and is constantly changing.

We aim at the restaurant table for the freshness of local and national products. To make known the diversity of products of the region, its quality and the regional / Portuguese recipe. Also doing some research on the region’s products that have lost use and that have been somewhat forgotten, so now represents them again at the table.
In addition to going to the Origins, it is also very important to make a representation and a contemporary recreation, using the originality and creativity of the entire Origens team.

At Origins we put all our inspiration and creativity into culinary representations. We try to reinterpret the vast Portuguese recipe, with a great base in regional cuisine. We make a careful selection of all products. We value organic and organic products in the region.

Wine is a fundamental part of the Origens, or we should not be located in Évora, in the heart of Alentejo … Region that has had an important impact abroad with several distinctions. The Alentejo, offers us a wide variety of wines, which we want to promote and make known.
