Luxurious events in a royal palace
Sintra National Palace is the oldest palace in Portugal with its 1000 years of history. It is located in the heart of Sintra. Building started in the 10th and 11th centuries when the Moorish still ruled in Portugal and Moorish elements are still to be seen in the palace. Over the centuries much was added to the palace and for many centuries it remained a favourite summer location for the Portuguese monarch due to its proximity to the ocean, its cooler mountain location, and the abundance of wildlife and hunting opportunities.
The palace opens for visitors during the day but certain halls are available for rent for events.
