How many people fit in a Porto tuk tuk?
Six passengers per vehicle as standard, with a driver guide at the wheel. For a group of 60 we typically run ten tuks in convoy, split into competing teams. There is no practical ceiling: we have delivered tuk tuk programmes in Porto for 300 participants using staggered start waves.
Are the tuk tuks really electric?
Yes. The fleet is fully electric, which means no exhaust, no engine noise over the guide’s commentary, and access to the protected streets of Porto’s UNESCO listed historic centre where combustion vehicles are increasingly restricted. It is the lowest impact way to move a corporate group through the city.
What happens if it rains?
The tuks have full weather covers and the programme runs year round. Porto’s winters are mild and wet rather than cold. Where a route includes long outdoor checkpoints we build sheltered alternatives into the plan, usually a wine lodge or a covered market.
How long does a tuk tuk team building take?
A standard challenge runs two to three hours. Extended versions with tastings, a Rabelo boat leg or an awards ceremony fill a half day. Sightseeing tours for incentive groups can be as short as ninety minutes, which fits neatly between a conference session and dinner.
Do we need to walk as well?
To see the old centre properly, yes, and we recommend it. The lanes below the cathedral and around the Ribeira reward being on foot. The tuks carry the group between quarters and eliminate the climbs, so the walking is the good part rather than the exhausting part.
