6 centuries ago it belonged to a friend of Luis de Camoes, D. Francisco Sampayo e Mello, now it’s open for anybody who wants to stay and enjoy this beautiful Manor house
The restaurant and bar are amazingly beautiful. The serene historic surrounding, stone table-tops and rough, natural stone masonry, magnificantly painted ceilings can give you the feeling that you’ve been invited to eat and drink at the original 15th century Quinta, and in fact your whole stay will feel like this. The food is prepared with care and the owner makes you feel taken care of and even slightly (comfortably) spoilt.Quinta da Santa Barbara is a perfect place for retreat, a romantic getaway or an active family holiday in the vicinity of Contancia and all it has to offer.
The Quinta is within walking distance (2km) of the historical centre of Constancia and close to its a23 highway exit. It is by far the nicest and most luxurious place to stay in this district at surprisingly affordable prices!
Close to Abrantes, Tomar, Fatima, Torres Novas and Castelo do Bode.
