The Rabelo boats of Portugal, mostly from the North and the city of Porto are very authentic boats and intriguing boats that add much to the charm of Porto and the Douro river.
For centuries these boats were used to transport people and goods and were mainly used for the Port wine industry before the railway was founded. No longer used for this purpose you will still find many owned by the Port wine houses and used for tourism tours and experiences.
We organize group tours and events using this lovely way of transportation to discover the city of Porto and the wine terraces, farms and Manor houses of the Douro valley.
For events these boats can be used for a simple tour of the region but also for team building of a different type.
