Rio Maravilha is an innovative restaurant located in an industrial building, it has a large outdoor terrace and one of the best views in Lisbon.
When it was built, LX Factory was a textile factory. At the beginning of the 20th Century, that business gave way to an industrial press factory.
In either case, hundreds of workers would work and live in the LX Factory limits. Where Rio Maravilha is located used to be their break room. Today, and keeping with that spirit, it’s a gastropub that pays tribute to two “rivers” – Rio Tejo (Tagus River) and Rio de Janeiro (Brasil). The closeness Portugal has with its brother country, Brasil, makes this homage all the more special.
With a bar that offers an extensive choice of signature cocktails, beers and wines, the restaurant has an inspired menu of fused Portuguese and Brazilian recipes and ingredients.
The decor is unique, industrial and very design driven, creating the perfect environment for a special riverside experience that only Lisbon and its beautiful Tagus River can offer.
