King’s Levada – São Jorge
Madeira is a very popular island for hikers, due to its amazing mountainous landscapes, its many flowers and unique habitats and awe inspiring views, many visit the island to alternate its culinary traditions, unique lifestyle and many beaches with long treks through the landscapes.
The higher grounds surrounding the São Jorge village are a favourite spot for hikers and trekkers.
With Ecoramblers your hike will be accompanied by a professional, local guide who will inform you about the plants and trees you will encounter on the walk as well as giving you background information about the area.
The views on the walk will take your breath away as you look over the lush green valleys of São Jorge and Santana.
Hopefully we will visit a historic working water mill before ending our journey in the center of the São Jorge village.
