Level 1 low/medium The smokes cave
This cave shows traces of human occupation since the Neolithic period to the conquest of Portugal and it is through archaeological excavation carried out inside that we can have better understanding of the people who inhabited these parts for thousands of years ago . With a horizontal development of about 300 meters is a cave perfectly accessible to anyone who wants to get a 1st contact with spelunking or Caving

Level: Medium The Doctor’s Cave
This cavity is situated in the Arrábida Natural Park near Alpertuche and is ideal for the development of techniques for horizontal progression within the cave. With a few narrow passages between rooms, the geology is Miscellaneous in this cave, passing through areas filled with speleothems, to others where the tectonic movements are well visible.

Level: medium Utopia
This is one of the most beautiful caves of Arrábida, where you can observe several types of formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, eccentric, gours, tubular etc.. The pro gression is semi horizontal presenting an vertical passage made in a Joly stair (ladder type string), it is a cave accessible to those with some physical shape or with some speleological experience.

Level Medium, The Green cave
This is a cave that has one of the most emblematic rooms of Arrábida caves with a set of wells that allow the entry of the sun’s rays, giving it a special beauty. Inside you can still see an underground beach with an outlet to the sea. A cave where Arrábida Sea reflections give you the tone for the name “Green Cave”.

Level Medium – high, The pierced cave
Day 1 (afternoon) Theoretical and practical training in vertical.
Day 2Visit to the cave entrance in rappel about 45 meters. This rappel is high grade ace due that provokes strong feelings. The progression in the cave is by zones of reasonable size, but has some narrow passages but accessible. The Cape’s Throat cave is located in Cape Espichel and is an integral part of this karst system.

Level: high, Cave of the middle
Day 1 (afternoon) Theoretical and practical training in vertical.
Day 2 Visit to the cave with access by rappel of 35 meters and with a handrail on the escarpment at about 40 meters tall. Discovered in 2007 in Cape Espichel it quickly became one of the most emblematic caves in Arrábida for being the 1 st cave with entrance different from exit. Inside has some good size rooms and a lake that is crossed by the technique of guided rappel
