Sea experience including swimming with dolphins! Sao Miquel, Azores

Swimming with dolphins

The Azores, known for its beautiful landscapes and wonderful wildlife has a rich sea habitat that is home to a large range of dolphins and whales and a trip to the islands is not complete without an exploration of this amazing coastline.

We now offer you a unique activity that allows you to discover marine biodiversity. This trip is accompanied by a professional team of marine biologists, that research and study the marine life of the Azores. They will inform you the mammals and their habits. Our scouts scout the water before we leave to find the actual location of the dolphins and whales so that we will get to see them on our trip.
You will also be given the possibility to swim with the dolphins after an instruction about their behaviours and habits. This is a unique experience with the friendliest dolphins of the Azores.

After departure from the marina, the first contact with the marine environment will be to get used to the equipment (mask and tube) and the deep blue sea of the Azores. Later you will have the opportunity to observe whales and other marine life specimens in their natural habitat and this is when you will swim with dolphins. This day also includes passing close to land, to admire the coastal geological formations and all the natural beauty of San Miguel. You can also enjoy a snack on board at sea or in one of the picturesque ports on the South coast of our island.
