A city that does the
work before you start.
Porto is one of the most naturally compelling backdrops for corporate group experiences in Europe. The Douro river, the Atlantic coast 30 minutes away, the historic ribeira, the azulejo-covered buildings, the port wine lodges and the food culture – all of it is available to a group willing to step outside a conference room.
We have been designing and delivering team building in Porto for 15 years. Every experience is built from scratch around your group – size, objectives, location, timing and what you want people to feel at the end of the day. Nothing is off the shelf.
Indoor and outdoor. Porto offers strong indoor options for evening programmes and conference-day activities alongside outstanding outdoor options along the coast, river and city streets.
All group sizes. From leadership offsites of 20 to congresses of 500+. Every format adapts to the group.
Year-round. Porto’s climate means outdoor experiences run every month including winter.
24-hour response on all proposals. RNAAT 497/2026 registered.
Evening programmes & venue-based formats
Porto’s wine lodges, historic restaurants and unique venues are extraordinary settings for indoor group experiences.
Team building and dinner as a single integrated experience – mystery challenges, wine competitions, fado moments and tapas tastings woven into the meal. Porto’s wine lodges and historic restaurants make unforgettable venues.
Blind tasting, grape identification, vintage guessing and port wine trivia – competitive, educational and genuinely fun. Works beautifully in a Gaia wine lodge directly across the Douro with panoramic views of the city.
Groups learn the basics of fado composition, work with professional Portuguese musicians and perform their own piece. Deeply Portuguese, surprisingly emotional and genuinely unlike anything else in corporate team building.
Percussion-based collective rhythm experience – teams learn rhythmic patterns, practise in sections and build to a full group performance. The energy when it comes together is extraordinary. Works for any group size, any age, any fitness level.
Working with Portuguese ceramic artists, groups design and paint their own azulejo tiles or ceramic pieces. The results are genuinely beautiful – and every participant takes something home. A calmer, reflective experience that surfaces creativity and individual expression in a shared setting.
Teams collaborate on a large-format artwork – each section designed independently, assembled into a collective piece. Facilitated by professional Portuguese artists. A powerful metaphor for individual contributions building something greater – and a lasting artefact to display back at the office.
Teams write, direct, film and edit their own 60-second TV commercial or mini-documentary in a single afternoon. The Mackathon is our flagship format – fast, genuinely funny and revealing of who leads, creates and brings the team together. Ends with a group screening, awards and celebration. Porto’s streets and landmarks become the backdrop.
Teams assemble toys, games or food packages donated to local Porto charities after the event. Competitive in format, meaningful in outcome. A CSR experience with real impact and an impact report available for ESG documentation.
Groups race to pack and organise food donations for local Porto food banks in a competitive timed format. Every package goes directly to someone in need. Combines high team energy with genuine community impact. Pairs naturally with a group dinner.
Porto, its river & the Atlantic coast
The Douro river, Atlantic beaches and natural parks are 20-40 minutes from Porto’s city centre.
Bespoke city discovery race through Porto’s ribeira, Baixa and historic quarters. Teams navigate checkpoints, solve puzzles and complete challenges against the clock. Every route is designed around your group – Porto’s beauty and extraordinary streets do the work no indoor venue can.
Teams navigate Porto by tuk-tuk in a city-wide challenge race – checkpoints, tasks and local knowledge tests through Porto’s most spectacular neighbourhoods. Gives everyone a laugh while delivering genuine competition and a view of the city a walking tour never could.
Teams navigate Porto’s food culture through a competitive tasting challenge – identifying petiscos, local ingredients and regional specialities. Combines a structured team challenge with a genuine food tour of the city’s best spots. Messy, delicious and genuinely competitive.
Corporate sailing regatta on the Douro in Porto. Groups split into competing crews with a professional skipper each. No sailing experience needed. The Douro at Porto is a spectacular setting. Ends naturally with a riverside lunch or dinner.
Porto’s Atlantic beaches are 20 minutes from the city centre and genuinely spectacular. Teams compete across rotating beach challenges – volleyball, relays, water games and bespoke events designed for the group. Works for all fitness levels and combines naturally with a BBQ or seafood lunch on the beach.
Unexpected, surprisingly competitive and genuinely revealing. Teams receive briefs and a time limit to build the most impressive sandcastle they can – judged by professional sand artists. Nobody expects to enjoy it as much as they do. Porto’s beaches make the perfect setting.
40 minutes from Porto the natural parks and river gorges of northern Portugal offer some of the best canyoning and white-water rafting in the country. Groups traverse canyons by climbing, jumping, swimming and abseiling under certified instructors with full safety equipment. An adventure that genuinely pushes people outside their comfort zone – and that most groups count among the best things they have ever done together.
