The tram 28 route which starts in Martim Moniz and travels through the oldest districts of Lisbon is one of the most popular ways to discover the city of Lisbon.
The tiny trams dating back to 1930 are still part of the public transport network as they are the only transport that is capable of passing through the narrow streets of the older districts. The tram passes through the popular tourist districts of Graca, Alfama, Baixa, and Estrela. Climbing and descending the hills of Lisbon like a former date roller coaster as it passes by monuments, views, and history.

Tram 28 can be taken by anybody as it is just a public transport means and it is always full. For groups, it can also be hired as a private tour accompanied by drinks or snacks it makes a special occasion to experience the real Lisbon!
NOTE* from 2020 onwards the 20 seater trams can no longer be hired only the 24 seater trams.
