The Ochre Hideaway is a small yoga retreat hidden in the wonderful fertile landscape of Central Portugal. It is situated roughly one hour from Coimbra and 2 from Lisbon and Porto. The retreat is managed by a fully qualified yoga professional who has been teaching yoga since 2002 and after a high pace life in London decided to open the retreat far away from our modern day stressful and demanding city lives in a rural and natural surrounding where guests can rest and re-energize to handle everyday challenges with balance and relaxation.

The focus of the classes is on inviting a deeper experience of yoga rather than exploring extreme postures so it will appeal to beginners who want to develop a strong foundation, but also to seasoned practitioners who are looking to clarify their practice.
Classes are based upon the Dynamic Yoga Method which is a rhythmic and meditative practice accessible to all, whether you are a beginner or seasoned practitioner. During the week you will be introduced to the fundamental principles of this method which, when applied, respect the inherent intelligence and integrity of your body thus inviting the process of reintegration to begin, so that your practice may nourish you rather than deplete you.”
Classes are purposely kept small (up to 5 people) to ensure a personal approach the fits your personal needs.
Classes are given every morning and the week includes 3 extra workshops, there is plenty of time out of the classes to relax and discover the surrounding nature at your own pace.
Arrival at The Ochre Hideaway guest house / yoga retreat, Central Portugal is on Sunday and departure on Saturday. The price per week includes:
6 nights accommodation
5 morning yoga classes
3 additional yoga workshops
Evening meditation
1½ hour full-body therapeutic massage
Extra treatments are available, charged at €50 per hour or part thereof
Afternoon trips to the river for swimming in the summer months
3 meals based on healthy vegetarian or vegan cooking (in case of allergies or medical indication special diet requests can be made on reservation) a day and 1 juice or 4 juices a day if you are opting for the Juice Cleanse
Herbal tea and fruit
Collection from Oleiros on Sunday and return to Oleiros on Saturday.
